A couple weeks ago a team of us made an IMC (Integrated Marketing Communication) presentation to a number of business owners at the Denver Metro SBDC. IMC is an evolving concept that derived from new emerging media. Northwestern University has dedicated an entire Graduate program to this concept (http://www.medill.northwestern.edu/imc/). In the past it was enough to simply put a message out on separate media channels in order to see results; now consumers are savvier and media choices are more abundant. In order to be an effective marketer your channels along with your community service must work together.   Ask yourself three questions when evaluating or developing your current IMC program.
1.       Do my clients/customers have the tools and knowledge to help promote my business?
2.       Is my business accessible in every possible way?
3.       Does my business leverage publicity to help promote our community service partners via media channels?
